  • Rich use of different materials with the stepping of the brick and stone materials being particularly effective
  • Clear and helpful graphics – very "Tufte" like
  • Elegant & efficient, sitting in the landscape, but not dominating it.

A simple, clean, and modern addition with subtle details to do the heavy lifting for the design.

  • Solid addition while updating a classic looks refreshed and re-invented
  • Love the use of red on the entrance elevation
  • Modulating the windows with existing bay solidified the project as a whole.

  • Lofty & comfortable, does not feel like a basement
  • Experience the owner would have is not typical hospital feel, "standout"
  • First impression is engaging and visually stimulating

The simple organization and subtle brickwork detail help ground this elegant school into a sensitive site.

  • Balanced elevation, similar to Venturi's logic,
  • Well situated - feels intrinsic to the site for a very large building, providing human scale.
  • Brick patterning is subtle and effective with modernist interpretation.
