ARE 4.0 Study Guides Lending Library

The Chapter has purchased Study Guides, Question & Answer Booklets, and Practice Graphic Vignette Problems for each of the seven divisions of the ARE 4.0. These will be available for any AIA Eastern PA Associate Member who is preparing for the exams.

In larger Chapters, such as AIA Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, the paid staff of the Chapter takes on the responsibility of lending and collecting the study materials. Due to our Chapter’s large geographic area and the lack of a central office this solution is not feasible. Therefore, the Chapter Associate Representative will serve as the librarian for the collection with the primary point of exchange occurring at the monthly chapter meetings. Study guides will be lent to the interested Associate Member for a period of one month. Only one division will be lent to an individual per month, however special circumstances may be considered under which multiple divisions will be lent to an individual per month. Because these study guides will be shared with the entire Chapter, no markups in any of the materials are allowed.

It is preferred that the Associate who wishes to borrow the study materials contact the librarian within a reasonable amount of time through e-mail or over the phone prior to the Chapter Meeting so arrangements can be made. If an Associate cannot make it to the next Chapter Meeting it will be their responsibility to either hand deliver or mail the study materials at their own expense back to the librarian before the next scheduled Chapter Meeting so that others can borrow them. Out of respect for fellow Associate members, it is important to return the study materials when they are due. If an Associate wishes to borrow materials but cannot make it to a Chapter Meeting, he or she may contact the librarian and arrange to pick up the materials. An Associate wishing to borrow any materials will be required to fill out a form containing their name, date, contact information, conditions of study material and signature to ensure that the guides are returned.
